A traditional sign of the year's end is the participation of Khmelnytsky National University's cybersecurity department faculty in various professional courses and training to improve their skills and share their experience in applying the latest methods and technologies for organizing the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the period November-December 2022, the teachers of the department took part in two courses of the international project \"Erasmus +\" Jean Monnet module \"Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine\" (Jean Monnet module: \"Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine\"). This Jean Monnet project aims to promote, disseminate and integrate EU cybersecurity frameworks, policies and best practices among research and educational institutions. The project implementation period is 11.11.2020-11.11.2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of the Department Yuriy Klots, Associate Professor Viktor Cheshun, and Assistant Professor Natalia Petliak took the course \u201cEU best practices: cyberattack detection and analysis with machine learning\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n

The speaker-instructor of the course is Oleksandr Adamov, one of the most experienced experts in the field of cybersecurity, head of the NioGuard Security Lab research laboratory with 15 years of experience in analyzing cyberattacks, and a lecturer in cybersecurity at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden). During the course, the students reviewed the tactics and techniques of cyberattacks and explored methods of detecting cyberattacks. They looked at the available artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to detect threats.<\/p>\n\n\n

The speaker-instructor of the course was Oleksandra Yeremenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, a scientist with 10 years of experience in cyber resilience and fault-tolerant information and communication and software-configurable networks. During the course, the students gained knowledge of current EU practices on the cyber resilience of information and communication networks and the research conducted by the project implementers in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n
