On October 2, 2024, the Department of Cyber \u200b\u200bSecurity celebrated its thirty-fifth anniversary. On the occasion of the anniversary, a hackathon on cyber security and information protection was initiated by the staff of the department on the basis of the Scientific and Educational Cyber \u200b\u200bSecurity Center of KhNU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first hackathon lasted 2 days (October 2-3) and was held in the Capture The Flag (CTF) format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants were offered tasks from various areas of professional activity:
\u2022 Cryptography and cryptanalysis
\u2022 Steganography
\u2022 Digital forensics
\u2022 Network security
\u2022 Logic and experiment, etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The peculiarity of the hackathon was the involvement of an initiative group of students in the development of tasks and organization of the event, which made it as close as possible to the interests of the participants, who became education seekers of all courses of the bachelor's and master's educational program of the 125th specialty. The variety of tasks and the spirit of CTF team competition captivated the teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
