From January 20 to February 2, 2025, the VI Winter School on Information Technology in Data Processing and Security \"Data Engineering and Security\" (DES 2025) was held online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The traditional organizer of the school was Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, in particular, the Center for Marketing and Development, the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, together with the authors of the project - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Informatization of Lviv University Vitaliy Kukharsky, Head of the Department of System Design of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies Roman Shuvar, Head of the Department of Mathematical Statistics and Differential Equations of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Oleg Bugriye.<\/p>\n\n\n

The core of the DES2025 curriculum covers a wide range of important areas: Software development, Soft Skills, Mobile development, Web development, High-performance computing, Databases & Data warehouses, Cloud services and technologies, Cloud computing, Big Data, Data analysis & Data processing, Machine & Deep Learning, Machine Learning toolchain, Advanced \u041cachine Learning, Generative AI, Real-world AI applications, Application of AI in cyber security and data processing, Virtual reality, Metaverse, Digital twins, Artificial Intelligence of Things, Cyber Security etc.<\/p>\n\n\n

The participants could attend classes in three parallel educational streams for two weeks. In addition to lectures and workshops, young people gained practical experience in team projects. Students implemented their ideas under the guidance of mentors from leading IT companies. On January 31, a project competition was held, and about 20 teams participated. Students of the Department of Cybersecurity represented Khmelnytsky National University, Marian Nikolaychuk, Diana Semyk, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n
