Successful completion of the CCNA: Fundamentals of Switching, Routing, and Wireless Networking course

Lecturers of the Department of Cybersecurity Nataliia PETLYAK and Mykola STETSiUK, who are also certified instructors of the Cisco Academy, have successfully completed the course “CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Networking Fundamentals”. The training was conducted by Andrii YEFIMENKO, Cisco instructor trainer, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Cybersecurity at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.

The CCNA course is an important component of the training of future cybersecurity professionals. Now even more teachers of the Department of Cyber Security of KhNU will be able to pass on to students the knowledge and practical skills in switching, routing and wireless communication, which is the foundation for creating and maintaining reliable network infrastructures.

The course is available for students to master:

  • principles of operation of switches and routers;
  • routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP);
  • basics of VLAN and Spanning Tree Protocol;
  • modern wireless communication technologies and their security.

Special attention will be paid to practical training. After all, a sufficient number of real equipment and virtual simulators will allow you to gain the necessary experience to work in real networks. This approach not only contributes to a better assimilation of theoretical knowledge, but also prepares students to solve practical problems in their future professional activities.
