The department's faculty members have applied for further involvement in the 3-year cybersecurity teacher training program and implementing practical training laboratories (cyber training grounds) from the USAID Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure Project.
The Project plans to select more than ten higher education institutions (HEIs) that seek to raise the standards of cybersecurity education in Ukraine, improve their current educational program, or launch their first cybersecurity degree program.
Кожному обраному закладу вищої освіти планується надати доступ до хмарних кіберполігонів, що дозволить викладачам контролювати та оцінювати практичні навички своїх студентів під час захисту різних мереж від різноманітних кіберзагроз.
The Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure Project is a USAID project implemented by the State Automobile Inspection of Ukraine to reduce and potentially eliminate cybersecurity vulnerabilities in Ukraine's critical infrastructure sectors.
Globally, USAID is one of the leading development agencies that catalyzes these processes and helps achieve positive results. USAID's activities are a manifestation of the philanthropy of the American people, support the recipient countries' progress toward self-sufficiency and sustainability, and contribute to the national security and economic well-being of the United States. USAID has maintained partnerships with Ukraine since 1992; over this time, the total value of assistance provided to Ukraine by the Agency has amounted to more than $3 billion. USAID's current strategic priorities in Ukraine include strengthening democracy and good governance mechanisms, promoting economic development and energy security, improving health care systems, and mitigating the effects of the conflict in the eastern regions.
