Participation in the final of the competition of innovative ideas of young scientists of the Khmelnytsky National University of IIRM 2022

On June 7, 2022, the final of the Innovative Ideas of Young Scientists Competition of the Khmelnytsky National University IIRM 2022 took place. The competition has been held at the initiative of the Scientific Society of Students and Young Scientists of the NTSMI of Khmelnytsky National University for the third year. This year's final coincided with the sixtieth anniversary of Khmelnytsky National University. The competition's main goal is to motivate scientific and practical activity among students, postgraduates, and young scientists, as well as to introduce information, organizational, educational, and technical support for students, postgraduates, and young scientists who seek to implement innovative ideas in production.

In the final of the competition, 12 innovative ideas of young scientists of KhNU were presented, including three finalist works by members of the Design Bureau:

  • “Symmetric algorithm for nonlinear encryption with the possibility of steganographic application” by Volodymyr Anikin, student of the CS-18-1 group
  • “Cross-platform application for storing and transmitting information using innovative data protection methods” by Vladyslav Kachynskyi, student of the CS-18-1 group
  • “Access control and information security system of “Susie” LLC” by Denis Gunyavy, student of CS-18-1 group

Participation in the Jean Monnet project “Integration of EU Cybersecurity Frameworks and Policies in Ukraine” - course “EU Framework for Cybersecurity Information Sharing”

In the period from May 24 to June 24, 2022, the next stage of the international project “Erasmus +” Jean Monnet module “Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine” of the course “EU frameworks for exchanging cybersecurity information” (Jean Monnet module: “Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine” - course ‘EU frameworks for exchanging cybersecurity information’), in which the members of the JCS CB took an active part: Maksym Bahriy, Pavlo Bilous, Denys Vyshnevskyi, Artem Demianov, Natalia Kupchyk, Marian Nikolaychuk, Iryna Rak, Oleksandra Shlapak, and Viktor Khmelovskyi.

The result is new knowledge and certificates of the project participants.

Model of an alarm unit with microcontroller control for an access control system

The development was presented by Svyatoslav Chornenkyi and Anastasiia Yakubets, members of the Design Bureau. The proposed microcontroller-controlled alarm unit for the access control system is implemented on an eight-bit microcontroller. It generates an alarm signal when the button contacts are opened in the event of displacement of the controlled object, which can be either windows or doors (opening control) or stationary objects that should not be displaced.

Cross-platform application for storing and transmitting information using the latest data protection methods

We created a cross-platform system to protect the storage and transmission of information. As a result, we received a web application in the form of a website and two mobile applications for IOS and Android operating systems. The application is convenient for an ordinary user, as we created an intuitive design and a well-thought-out and optimized connection between the client and server sides.

Start page of the web service

A person can log in to his or her account, and if an employee does not yet have his or her account, he or she can create one.

Login page
Registration page

After registration, an employee cannot immediately log in to his or her account because the status must be confirmed by the company's manager.

After successful authorization, the employee gets access to the existing records.

The employee on this page can create their own records and view the records of other users. The image shows the following characteristics of a record:

- Title

- Text

- Priority

- The period during which the task must be completed

- Time of creation

- Editing time

- Author

- Author of the last changes to the record

An employee can only edit and delete a record created, but an administrator can perform any action.

Also, records can be sorted by date and priority of execution.

The process of creating a new record is simple.

When creating a record, the employee specifies a title and describes the task. After that, he needs to select the period during which this task should be completed, currently we see three main periods on the layout, these are: today, this week, and this month. It is also possible to specify the priority of this task, as this is an optional item, so if you skip it, the task will have the normal priority. However, selecting a second priority, indicated in yellow, and a priority, marked in red, is possible.

An important aspect at this point is that if you lose access to the Internet while creating your record, the record will be added to the user's local storage the next time you connect.

Editing a record is almost no different from the creation page and performs the same functions.

In the web service, you can also go to the personal account section and see your account information and the button for editing data.

On the profile edit page, we can change the user's photo, name, and email.
