On September 28, the USAID Project “Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure” held a webinar on “Digital Investigations” for students. This intriguing and, at the same time, sombre topic was covered by Sergiy Denysenko, Executive Director of CyberLab, who has almost 20 years of professional experience in the field of information security.
During the webinar, Serhii spoke about the collection and further work with digital data, types of digital forensics, and software and hardware systems used in this area. The speaker emphasized the importance of the human factor both during the incident and during its investigation, and shared practical cases in which high-quality digital data helped to draw correct conclusions.
After the official presentation, the part was no less interesting when the participants could ask the expert their questions. In addition to traditional questions about the requirements and expectations of employers from young professionals in the field about internship opportunities in the speaker's company, the topic of private data security when using social networks and other mobile applications also raised many questions.
