Establishing cooperation with universities in Lviv

From May 8 to 10, 2024, the Head of the Department of Cybersecurity Yurii Kliots, the Head of the Cybersecurity Training and Research Center Nataliia Petliak and the guarantor of the first (bachelor's) level educational program in the specialty 125 “Cybersecurity and Information Protection” Viktor Cheshun visited Lviv, where they held a number of meetings with colleagues from the city's departments.

During the visit to Lviv Polytechnic National University, representatives of KhNU got acquainted with the activities of the Western Regional Educational and Scientific Center for Information Protection (WRESCIP), had the opportunity to inspect the laboratories of the Information Protection Department of Lviv Polytechnic National University and exchange experience in implementing innovative educational and scientific projects during a meeting with the Head of the Information Protection Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ivan Opirsky and the Head of the WRESCIP, Honored Inventor of Ukraine, Professor Valerii Dudykevych. D., Professor Ivan Opirskyi and the Head of the CIPCI, Honored Inventor of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Valerii Dudykevych. The visit resulted in the establishment of ties between universities on the creation of integrated information security systems, mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of educational programs and research.

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv was another location for meetings of KhNU representatives with their colleagues.

The Head of the Department of Cyber Security of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Petro Vengerskyi, told the guests about the achievements and future plans for the development of the Department. As a result of the visit to Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the departments reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science, in particular on the implementation of joint projects and the organization of academic mobility programs for higher education students.

Reaching an agreement on cooperation between the specialized departments of cybersecurity and information protection of the leading universities of Khmelnytsky and Lviv creates conditions for synergy, where each party benefits from combining efforts and resources, which ultimately leads to an improvement in the quality of education, research and professional development.
