Laboratory of Active and Passive Information Security Systems

The laboratory is located in room 4-232 and is used for the "Signals and Processes in Security Systems" and "Technical Information Protection" disciplines. As part of these disciplines, students learn to:

  • detect embedded devices, such as hidden video cameras, bugs and other technical means of unauthorized access to information;
  • detect dangerous and hidden signals in the transmission of information using voice, mobile and digital communication;
  • design systems for protecting information from leakage through acoustic channels and indirect electromagnetic radiation.

The laboratory is equipped with:

  • a digital TV and projector for demonstrating presentations, thematic videos, etc;
  • 10 workstations with Intel Core i3 laptops;
  • 10 additional seats for students with their own gadgets.

A variety of equipment is used in laboratory work in the above disciplines:

  • Bug Hunter Professional bug detectors;
  • iProTech WEGA hidden camera detectors;
  • professional infrared thermal imagers UNI-T;
  • audio safe books;
  • logic signal analyzers Hantek complete with FPGA DE1-SoC Board;
  • MARS TZO 4-2 noise generator with acoustic and vibration emitters;
  • a device for protecting gadgets from information leakage through the channels of side electromagnetic radiation Basalt-5GESH;
  • SCORPION PRO mobile jammers (GSM, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE+ CDMA, WiFi/Bluetooth, DCS, LoJack, GPS, Glonass).
