An online webinar dedicated to modern approaches to managing mobile and work devices in a corporate environment was held on February 18. The event brought together IT professionals and information security specialists who are looking for effective tools for centralized management of various types of devices within a single architecture.
The main topic of the webinar was a comprehensive approach to Mobile Device Management (MDM) in the context of hybrid work, BYOD use and growing cybersecurity requirements. Participants learned how to build a single management system regardless of the type of operating system, deployment format (Cloud or On-Prem) or the scale of the company.

The following issues were discussed during the event:
- control and management of mobile devices (Android, iOS, IoT);
- features of laptop management for Windows, macOS and Linux;
- automation of tasks when supporting a large fleet of OS;
- risks of device loss or compromise and impact on data security;
- building a secure environment for employees' personal devices (BYOD)
- software and OS updates, encryption, DLP, password policies, security compliance testing;
- using VPN and cyber security tools in a unified management system.
Special attention was paid to the capabilities of the SureMDM platform: flexible licensing, scaling from small businesses to large corporations, integration with AD, Exchange, SIEM and use of APIs for customizing business processes. Participants were also shown remote configuration, device blocking, applying policies based on geolocation, network or time, as well as the work of an AI assistant to automate routine tasks.

The speaker of the event was Yevgen Kurash, Sales Engineer at BAKOTECH, who has over 5 years of experience in designing, testing and implementing IT solutions for information protection and cybersecurity. His portfolio includes projects for small, medium and large businesses, as well as experience in cooperation with state-owned enterprises. The speaker's key areas of expertise include control and protection of mobile devices (both corporate and personal), organization of secure communication between employees, protection and synchronization of files, as well as automation of processes for increasing personnel cyber awareness.

The webinar provided a practical platform to discuss the current challenges IT teams face when managing a heterogeneous device infrastructure. Participants gained a clear understanding of how to unify software updates, information security policies, encryption, cybersecurity, and VPN within a single managed system without complicating the architecture.
