Participation of teachers and students in the course of the international project Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module “Integration of a promising EU cybersecurity ecosystem in Ukraine”

During April 2026, teachers and students of the Department of Cybersecurity of Khmelnytskyi National University took an active part in the training in the international course “EU Regulatory Framework and Standards for the Cybersecurity Ecosystem”. This course is implemented within the framework of the Jean Monnet module of the Erasmus+ program.

Leading Ukrainian scientists and experts in the field of information law and cybersecurity shared their own experience with the participants:

  • Eremenko Oleksandra, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor
  • Yevdokymenko Maryna, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor

The training course with a total volume of 40 hours (2 ECTS credits) was aimed at in-depth study of European legislation. The program covered 8 consecutive modules:

  • Introduction to the EU cybersecurity regulatory landscape – a general overview of the legal framework
  • EU strategic and policy documents on cybersecurity – analysis of European development vectors
  • European cybersecurity standards – study of current technical standards
  • Network and Information Security Directive (NIS) – analysis of critical infrastructure requirements
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and cybersecurity – protection of personal data in the digital age
  • Cybersecurity compliance and audit – methods of verification and compliance with EU criteria
  • EU Cybersecurity Act and certification framework – study of ENISA standardized certification processes
  • New trends and future directions of development – analysis of digital policy prospects

As a result of successfully mastering the rich program of the international course and fulfilling all practical requirements, representatives of the Department of Cybersecurity of KhNU received personalized certificates. The knowledge gained will help to successfully integrate advanced European practices into the educational process and scientific work of the university.
