EU Code Week 2025

From October 11 to 26, 2025, first-year students majoring in F5 Cybersecurity and Information Protection took part in EU Code Week, an international initiative aimed at promoting programming and digital skills among young people.

EU Code Week in Ukraine is organized by Junior Achievement Ukraine, the national hub of the project, which is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The aim of the event is to spark interest in information technology, artificial intelligence, and the safe use of digital resources among students.

The following educational activities were held for students as part of EU Code Week:

Artificial intelligence made simple: how machines "learn" and help people

During the event, participants learned about the basic principles of artificial intelligence systems, looked at examples of AI services, including chatbots and image generators, and discussed their potential use in cybersecurity. The practical part involved creating simple models based on open artificial intelligence tools.

Cybersecurity and Digital Hygiene

During the training, students learned about the main threats in the information space, the principles of creating reliable passwords, methods of protecting personal data, and rules for the safe use of network resources. Participants applied the knowledge they gained while performing practical tasks to identify and prevent cyber threats.

The events contributed to improving students' digital literacy, developing analytical thinking, and understanding the practical aspects of applying information technology in everyday life. Participation in EU Code Week 2025 was an important step in shaping the professional competencies of future cybersecurity specialists and a stimulus for further professional development.
