From May 12 to May 30, 2025, Yevhen Zaretskyi and Viktor Chesun, lecturers at the Department of Cybersecurity, participated in the program to master the course “EU Regulatory Frameworks and Standards for the Cybersecurity Ecosystem” of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module international project “Integrating the future-proof EU cybersecurity ecosystem in Ukraine” (Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module “Integrating the future-proof EU cybersecurity ecosystem in Ukraine”, course “EU Regulatory Frameworks and Standards for Cybersecurity Ecosystem”).

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of how the European Union shapes digital security: from NIS2 and CER to ENISA and ISO/IEC standards.
The speakers were:

- Andriy Pazyuk, Doctor of Law, Professor at the Department of International Law at Kyiv Aviation Institute
The 40-hour course consisted of 8 modules:
- Introduction to the EU regulatory framework for cybersecurity
- European cybersecurity strategy and policy documents
- EU Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS)
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and cybersecurity
- European Cybersecurity Act and certification system
- European cybersecurity standards
- Cybersecurity compliance and auditing
- Latest trends and future developments
