From July 21 to August 8, 2025, cybersecurity department lecturers Volodymyr Anikin, Olena Pyrch, Viktor Chesun, and fourth-year students Viktoria Galyus and Kateryna Navrotska took part in the summer school under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module “European experience for improving the resilience of critical infrastructure in Ukraine.”
The speakers of the event were:
- Marina Yevdokimenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Technologies, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE);
- Oleksandr Lemeshko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Technologies, KNURE;
- Oleksandra Yeremenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Technologies, KNURE;
- Arkady Snigurov, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Technologies, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics;
- Yanina Roy, PhD in Technical Sciences, Head of the Information Security Implementation and Control Department, NPC Ukrenergo.
The summer school program included three courses.
The first course, “Best EU Practices for Responding to Incidents at Critical Infrastructure Facilities,” aimed to familiarize participants with EU policy, strategy, and practice, as well as strategies and practical applications for responding to incidents at critical infrastructure facilities.
The second course, “EU Risk Management Framework for Critical Facilities,” was conducted with the aim of studying the EU's fundamentals, methodologies, and methods, as well as communication tools for identifying, analyzing, responding to, and controlling internal and external risks, with recommendations to CI operators on reducing risks and vulnerabilities.
Третій заключний курс «Досвід ЄС для захисту критичної інфраструктури України» присвячений вивченню практичних сценаріїв ЄС щодо захисту критичної інфраструктури, які дозволяють підвищити стійкість критично важливих об’єктів, що надають основні послуги в Україні.
Upon completion of the summer school program, faculty and students of the Cybersecurity Department received certificates.
