Participation in the international webinar “COST InfoDay”

On February 18, 2025, the staff of the Department of Cybersecurity took part in the international webinar “COST InfoDay”.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is an international non-profit association headquartered in Brussels with 40 member countries and funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe Framework Program for Research and Innovation. COST funds research and innovation networks. The COST Association's work is aimed at building research initiatives in Europe and beyond that allow scientists and innovators to develop their ideas in any field of science and technology, and to exchange experiences with colleagues. COST Actions are networks that promote research, innovation and research careers and operate for four years.

“COST InfoDay is an annual information event of the COST Association, open to all researchers and innovators at any stage of their career and in any field of research.

The purpose of the event is to inform the research community about:

  • conditions and formats of participation in COST Actions
  • the procedure for submitting proposals for COST Actions
  • research activities that can be funded by the COST Association
  • the role and impact of COST programs on the development of scientific career

The speakers of the event were:

  • Dr. Ronald de Bruin, Director of the COST Association with the report “Introduction about COST”
  • Dr. Emiljano Kaziaj, COST Research Fellow, with the report “How to participate in a COST Action and how to submit an application?”
  • Carmencita Malimban, Senior Administrative Officer at COST with the report “Which networking activities are funded within COST Action”
  • Dr. Ariel T. Thomas, representative of the University of Malta with the report “Unlocking Opportunities: A Young Researcher's Experience in the EU COST Network”
