On November 14, on the eve of the International Students' Day, Khmelnytsky National University held a solemn award ceremony for the best students.
The event was opened by Inna Horiachok, Head of the Department of Educational Work: "Today, more than 8000 students are studying at Khmelnytsky National University. They came here from the vocation of their hearts, which was to acquire various professions. All of them are young, unsurpassed, energetic, active, purposeful, and beautiful, with different eyes, colours, and dispositions, but they are all one team, one student community of KhNU! And successful student activity is possible only if everyone takes responsibility for their duties, studies, and various activities, and the academic staff will be happy to help."
The audience observed a minute of silence to honour the fallen defenders of Ukraine, including graduates and students of our university, as well as all civilians who died as a result of russia's full-scale armed aggression.
The Rector of Khmelnytsky National University, Serhiy Matiukh, greeted the students and noted that student years are the best in everyone's life, and they are fondly remembered even many years later. Sergiy Matiukh emphasized that although the difficult situation in the country prevents students from fully enjoying their student life, today's youth should realize that it is they who decide the future of our country. "I wish you to work hard, efficiently and effectively to gain knowledge in order to shape, develop and create a modern European state called Ukraine, which should be free, independent and united in the future," the rector said. He also thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to which we can study and teach.
The students and the curator of the Faculty of Information Technology of KhNU were also honored:
