Lecturers of the Department of Cybersecurity once again completed the USAID Cybersecurity Activity summer training

Under the partnership agreement concluded on March 30, 2021, between Khmelnytsky National University and the USAID project "Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure", the Department of Cybersecurity of KhNU has been actively participating in the educational component of the USAID Cybersecurity Activity project for the 2nd year in a row - an international program to improve the skills of teachers and modernize cybersecurity education programs by global standards. From July 11 to August 31, 2022, the teachers of the Department of Cybersecurity took an active part in the 180-hour advanced training courses under the USAID summer training program “Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine Activity”, where they had the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills under the guidance of professional instructors from Europe and the United States; work on tasks using the powerful cloud cyber training ground for individual and team cybersecurity training RangeForce, the Canvas cloud learning environment, the FFIEC Cyber Assessment Tool, Azure cloud IT infrastructure, Oracle Cloud, Amazon Web Services commercial public cloud, and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud virtual servers, etc.

In a highly intensive mode, the teachers of the Department of Cybersecurity of KhNU completed the advanced training program. They received international certificates of the USAID Cybersecurity Activity educational component of the USAID project "Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure" in five courses.

Associate professors of the Department of Cyber Security Yurii Klets, Ihor Muliar and Viktor Cheshun received USAID certificates in Penetration Testing.

Volodymyr Dzhulii, associate professor of cybersecurity, received a USAID certificate in the Advanced Malware Course.

Natalia Petlyak, an assistant at the Department of Cyber Security, received a USAID certificate in Cloud Cyber Security.

Mykola Stetsiuk, assistant professor of cybersecurity, received a USAID certificate for the Foundations of Computer and Network Security course.

The USAID course certificates confirm the mastery of the theory and tools of the relevant disciplines at the level of international standards and also allow the use of the acquired knowledge and skills, materials and methods of teaching professional cybersecurity disciplines from leading instructors from Europe and the United States in the components of the KNU Cybersecurity educational program. In addition, the department teachers join the RangeForce cloud cyber training ground as instructors, allowing them to independently master new cybersecurity training courses and involve students of the department in their mastery under free licenses. We congratulate the department's teachers on completing the course program and obtaining certificates. We wish them further creative success in implementing international practices in the educational program Cybersecurity of the KNU bachelor's and master's level of higher education.
