The department's lecturers participated in the webinar "When AI works for protection: incident investigation and control of the use of AI services"

On February 12, 2026, the department's teachers joined the online webinar "When AI Works for Protection: Incident Investigation and Control of the Use of AI Services", organized by BAKOTECH. The event was dedicated to topical issues of the application of artificial intelligence in the field of cybersecurity.

During the webinar, speakers demonstrated how the solution Trellix and Skyhigh Security help:

  • automate cyber incident investigations using AI;
  • reduce the burden on SOC analysts;
  • monitor the use of AI services by employees;
  • prevent confidential data leakage through web and cloud services.

Special attention was paid to the dual role of artificial intelligence in modern cyberspace. On the one hand, AI has already become an integral part of daily work from information search to data analysis and program code. On the other hand, attackers are actively using AI capabilities to create more sophisticated phishing attacks, automated malicious code and accelerate the development of cyber incidents.

The practical part demonstrated:

  • data leakage control (DLP) capabilities when working with AI services;
  • mechanisms for blocking or restricting access to risky resources;
  • using EDR and NDR tools with built-in AI assistants for accelerated analysis of security events;
  • approaches to forming policies for the use of AI services in organizations.

Participation in the event allowed teachers to deepen their knowledge of modern cyber threats related to the use of artificial intelligence, as well as to become familiar with practical tools that can be integrated into cybersecurity and information technology curricula.
