To mark Cybersecurity Month in Ukraine, the Cybersecurity Department of Khmelnytsky National University invited 10th and 11th grade students from city schools to visit. Students from Lyceum No. 3 named after Artem Mazur of the Khmelnytsky City Council and Lyceum No. 17 of the Khmelnytsky City Council took part in the events, which included a tour of the department's laboratories and interactive classes on software and hardware information protection.
During the meeting, the students saw how modern information security systems work, learned about the principles of software and hardware data protection, and tried their hand at being cybersecurity specialists. They had the opportunity to work with tools for detecting unauthorized devices and see a cyber range in action—a training ground for simulating cyber threats and practicing ways to respond to them.
Such events aim to promote the profession of cybersecurity specialist among young people, raise awareness of the importance of safe behavior in the digital space, and encourage students to choose IT specialties in the future.
The department expresses its sincere gratitude to the administration and teaching staff of Lyceum No. 3 and Lyceum No. 17 for supporting the initiative and assisting in conducting events aimed at developing the digital literacy of the younger generation, in particular to directors Kents Olena Demyanivna and Pirog Vadym Valentynovych, teachers Larysa Volodymyrivna Gavryliuk, Lyudmila Vitaliivna Panchuk, Lyudmila Volodymyrivna Luzhnyak, and Viktoria Anatoliivna Bekas.
