On September 9, 2025, Khmelnytsky National University held a civil protection briefing for first-year students majoring in F5 “Cybersecurity and Information Protection.” The meeting was attended by representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and was aimed at developing basic competencies in the field of life safety.

Students gained in-depth knowledge about the main types of emergencies, natural and man-made threats, as well as algorithms for action in case of their occurrence. Particular attention was paid to the topic of behavior during an air raid alarm: how to quickly find the nearest shelter, follow the rules for staying in safe places, and provide assistance to those in need. An important part of the training was information on recognizing explosive objects and the procedure for dealing with them, which is relevant not only for civilian life.

During the briefing, fire safety rules in the academic building and dormitories were also reviewed. Students were reminded of the proper use of fire extinguishers, the sequence of actions in case of fire, and the procedure for evacuating the premises.
