LABORATORY WORK THROUGH THE EYES OF A SENIOR STUDENT (VOLODYMYR ANIKIN)
Another initiative was put forward by a member of the SDB of the CSCNM Anikin Volodymyr, group CS-18-1
Taking into account the experience of studying the discipline “Software and hardware means of protecting information systems from unauthorized access”, Volodya offered his own vision of the laboratory work “Using the Sentinel LDK software and hardware complex to protect information resources by creating hardware keys”. Laboratory work for students of the group. According to the class schedule, CS-19-1 was conducted by Volodymyr Anikin and Associate Professor Mulyar I.V. on 03/25/2021. The presence of two approaches to the organization of the lesson gave second-year students the right to choose the best one according to their preferences, contributed to the intensification of the educational process and provided grounds for a discussion of the prospects for improving the educational process among both students and teachers of the department.
VOLODYMYR ANIKIN GAVE A LECTURE ON “FRAUD ON THE INTERNET”
On February 3, 2021, Volodymyr Anikin, a member of the SBD of the CSCNM and a student of the CS-18-1 group, gave a lecture on “Fraud on the Internet” for students in grades 9-11 of the city schools as part of the “Manipulation - No” project of the city student government council “New Generation of the City”.
The students learned a lot about current fraudulent criminal schemes, how to protect themselves from them, and the statutory liability of criminals.
Everyone had a positive impression, and the students were once again convinced of the importance of being careful online and how relevant cybersecurity is in the life of an ordinary person.
DESIGN PROJECTS FOR THE ALL-UKRAINIAN NPC MNIS “INTELLECTUAL POTENTIAL 2020” PROPOSED BY VIKTOR KHMELOVSKYI
Viktor Khmelovskyi, a member of the SBD of the SCSNM, offered his vision of the design of the covers of collections of scientific papers of young scientists and students based on the materials of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Intellectual Potential - 2020”, as well as certificates of participants of the conference. The organising committee accepted the design projects for use at the meeting.
PARTICIPATION IN THE ALL-UKRAINIAN COMPETITION OF STUDENT RESEARCH PAPERS “CYBER SECURITY” (VOLODYMYR ANIKIN)
Volodymyr Anikin, a member of the SBD of the SCSNM, passed the first qualifying stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the speciality “Cybersecurity” and will represent Khmelnytsky National University with the work “Symmetric nonlinear encryption algorithm with the possibility of steganographic application” in the final of the competition, which will be held at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”. We wish Volodymyr success!!!

ELECTRONIC “BUG” (RECEIVER-TRANSMITTER) FROM VIKTOR KHMELOVSKYI
One of the problems of organizing the educational process in the speciality “Cybersecurity” is the lack of the possibility of purchasing eavesdropping devices - the so-called “bugs”. To detect bugging devices during the laboratory workshop, the department staff proposed using various signal receivers and transmitters: devices of the Xiaomi Smart Home system and elements of equipment for the Fox Hunt game. A member of the SDB of the CSCNM, a senior researcher of CS19-1, proposed his solution for the embedded device. Viktor Khmelovsky, a member of CS-19-1.
Viktor manufactured and demonstrated an experimental sample of an elementary low-power radio transmitter and receiver.
Viktor's development has been tested and recommended for use in a laboratory workshop to detect eavesdropping devices and information leakage channels.
