On April 7, 2022, the Department of Cybersecurity of Khmelnytsky National University once again joined the CRDF Global project (US Civilian Research and Development Foundation) by taking part in an introductory seminar on integrating cybersecurity courses into the curricula of Ukrainian universities.
The project aims to share the experience gained from American mentors in developing cybersecurity courses with teachers from other Ukrainian universities. The seminar addressed the issues of working and non-working approaches to online learning and the specifics of developing and implementing cybersecurity courses with the support of CRDF Global.
In particular, the Head of the Department of Cybersecurity, Klots Yu.P. and Associate Professor of the Department, Titova V.Yu. during the report presented developed by them on the recommendations of mentors from Purdue University (pc. Indiana, USA) course "Protection and Monitoring of Computer Networks," having considered the entire stage of creation from communication with stakeholders to substantiation of methods and means of evaluating learning outcomes.
The next stage of the project will be the transfer of materials of this course and experience in its development and implementation to colleagues from universities in other cities of Ukraine, which will strengthen the inter-university cooperation of the department in the field of education and science and will provide a high level of training in the speciality of cybersecurity in even more universities of our state.
