Participation of the Department of Cybersecurity in the international project on cybersecurity Jean Monnet module course “EU best practices for IoT and Smart Infrastructures”

During the period June 10 - July 25, 2022, students and teachers of the Department of Cybersecurity of KhNU took an active part in the international project “Erasmus +” Jean Monnet module “Integration of EU Cybersecurity Frameworks and Policies in Ukraine” from the course ”EU best practices in IoT and smart infrastructures»  (Jean Monnet module: “Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine” – course «EUbestpracticesforIoTandSmartInfrastructures»).

Speaker-instructor of the course Kuzminykh Evgeniya, PhD, Associate Professor, Lecturer in Cybersecurity at the Department of Computer Science, King's College London.

Course objective - define security measures for the Internet of Things (IoT), considering the complexities caused by the diversity of IoT applications.

The course covers the differences in the distribution of risk for different environments in IoT, as well as threats and risks associated with IoT devices. The students learned how to identify assets in different infrastructures that need to be protected and the security methods that need to be applied to protect IoT devices and systems from cyber threats.

The students and staff of the KNU CB Department thank the project coordinator, Maryna Yevdokymenko, and the speaker-instructor, Yevheniia Kuzminykh, for another professional cybersecurity project.
