As part of the implementation of the program for the development and integration of IT courses on cyber security into the curriculum of Ukrainian universities, on June 18-19, 2021, in the city of Myrhorod (Poltava region), a second training seminar was held for representatives of 7 Ukrainian higher educational institutions.
The purpose of the mentioned event (three seminars planned in total) was the presentation of working materials on the development of the course, which were developed in cooperation with Ukrainian and American mentors, and receiving professional advice from colleagues for the finalization of the curriculum.
The mentors of the program are leading national experts in cyber security: Tamara Radivilova, Oleksiy Baranovskyi and Yurii Baryshev, as well as doctors of sciences, professors of Purdue University (USA) - Nicole Hinds, Connie Justice, Eugene Spafford, Baijan Young, Taghir Kahn, Jean Koshyts and Aniket Kate led by Joel Rasmus, Executive Director of the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS).
Khmelnytskyi National University was represented at the seminar by the head of the Department of Cyber Security and Computer Systems and Networks Yury Klyots and Associate Professor Vira Titova.
The program is funded by the US State Department, the Office for Coordination of Aid in Europe and Eurasia.
