On 9 October, students from the Department of Cyber Security at Khmelnytskyi National University took part in a training session ahead of the CTF competition. The training is taking place as part of the Pilot Programme for Enhancing Cybersecurity Skills Gaps in Ukraine. The programme is being implemented by the Security Expert Group and the Estonian company CybExer, with the support of the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV).
This year, students from six Ukrainian universities will take part in the programme’s CTF competitions:
- Khmelnytskyi National University;
- Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University;
- Cherkasy State Technological University;
- Lviv State University of Life Safety;
- Lutsk National Technical University;
- Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
The programme involves training and working on practical tasks on the CybExer cyber range. Today’s training session was a preparatory stage ahead of the qualifying CTF, where students will be able to test their knowledge and skills in a competitive setting.
The qualifying rounds will take place in October. The best competitors will go through to the final, scheduled for November 2026.
We would like to thank the organisers for giving us the opportunity to take part in the programme. We wish our students every success in the competition!
