On March 13, 2024, a regular webinar was held in a series of events supported by the USAID Project “Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure” on the topic “Fundamental Principles of Building a Crypto-Steganographic System”, which was attended by students and teachers of the Department of Cyber Security of KhNU.
The online seminar is part of the activities to popularize the training course “Fundamentals of Building a Crypto-Steganographic System” developed with the support of USAID Cybersecurity Activity at the National University of Odesa Polytechnic, for which the Project has created a regional cybersecurity laboratory.
The speakers of the seminar were:
- Alla Kobozieva, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Cyber Security and Software, Odesa Polytechnic National University
- Artem Sokolov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Cyber Security and Software, Odesa Polytechnic National University
The online meeting discussed traditional and innovative methods of cryptographic and steganographic information protection, as well as the prospects for combining them to improve the efficiency of security systems.
The speakers introduced the audience to the general approach to analyzing the state and technology of secure information systems, which is constantly being improved by the specialists of the National University “Odesa Polytechnic”, made a presentation of the developed crypto-stegographic system and told about a new method of developing the professional competencies of applicants by mastering the fundamental principles of building this system.
