Open lecture "basic conditions and principles of cyber hygiene" from the cybercrime countermeasures department

04/30/2021 The Department of Cyber Police of the National Police of Ukraine organized and held an open lecture "Basic conditions and principles of cyber hygiene" for first-year students majoring in Cyber Security. The lecture was conducted by Oleksandr Mykhailovych Vlasyuk and Ruslan Teymurovich Danylyuk of the Cybercrime Prevention Department in the Khmelnytskyi region. In addition to students of the Cybersecurity major, students of other majors showed interest in the lecture. All participants of the lecture received new knowledge and pleasant impressions and emotions.

The best characteristic of any lecture is the listener's response.

Student KB-20-1 Yana Kobets, discussing the lecture at the department, noted that the lecture with representatives of the cyber police discussed very relevant topics of today: fraud on the Internet, bullying in social networks, how not to fall for unfriendly employers. For themselves, the students learned a lot of important things, in particular, some rules that will become their life principles from now on: you should never disclose private information about yourself or go to unknown links from unknown people, because that way they will easily find out our private data; when using a bank card, it is advisable to have a backup number that is not used in social networks, because it is easier to protect yourself from hacking and unknown transactions from your card. During the pandemic, crimes are spreading on the part of employers who offer attractive vacancies and high salaries, and in turn use personal data against a person. Lecturers from the Cyber Police gave many important recommendations that we should use in our lives to protect ourselves from Internet fraudsters. I really liked the lecture and I want more such events.

The team and students of the KbKSM department thank Oleksandr Mykhailovych Vlasyuk and Danylyuk Ruslan Teimurovych and the Department of Countering Cybercrimes in the Khmelnytskyi Region of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine for an interesting lecture, promoting the development of students and expanding their worldview, and we hope for new events from the best stakeholders.
