As part of the course “Vulnerability and Intrusion Detection Technologies,” students in the Cybersecurity and Information Protection educational program at the first (bachelor’s) level of education, together with Dr. Nataliia PETLIAK, Ph.D., participated in a webinar titled “Securing Corporate AI Applications with Fortinet’s AI Gateway,” which addressed current issues related to the secure use of artificial intelligence technologies in a corporate environment.
During the webinar, participants learned about new cybersecurity challenges arising from the integration of AI assistants with corporate documents, CRM systems, and other internal information resources. Particular attention was paid to controlling queries to AI models, protecting confidential information, and preventing unauthorized data disclosure.
Speaker Anton Luchitsky, a cybersecurity infrastructure support engineer, discussed the principles behind AI Gateways and approaches to their implementation in Fortinet’s FortiAI Gate.
Participation in such events helps deepen the professional knowledge of faculty and students, familiarize them with the latest developments in cybersecurity, and combine theoretical training with the practical experience of industry experts.
