On September 21, 2020, at the Khmelnytskyi National University, on the basis of the Department of Cyber Security and Computer Systems and Networks (KbKSM), a meeting-lecture on topical issues of cyber security was held, which was conducted by Inspectors of the Department of Combating Cybercrimes in the Khmelnytsky Region of the Department of Cyber Police of the National Police of Ukraine Danylyuk Ruslan Teimurovych and Nychyk Vadim Yuriyovych. The listeners of the lecture were students of the 1st-4th year of the cyber security specialty, teachers of the KbKSM department, as well as interested students of other specialties.
During the meeting, the lecturers discussed the following issues:
- modern threats to information security and their classification;
- ways to prevent the realization of existing threats;
- legal aspects of countering cybercrimes.
The listeners were very interested in the practical experience of the Inspectors of the Cybercrime Prevention Department in their professional activities, numerous examples of real-life situations related to the issues of the lecture significantly contributed to updating and simplifying the perception of the material.
In addition to the lecture material, senior students discussed with stakeholders the issue of job prospects by profession in the units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The teachers of the KbKSM department took an active part in the discussion about the combination of theory and practice in the teaching of professional disciplines for students of the cybersecurity specialty, taking into account the experience of the cybercrime countermeasures department in the Khmelnytskyi region of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
